GREEN DESIGN STUDIO
is an award-winning, full-service architecture firm in Yarmouth, Maine, specializing in energy efficient, environmentally friendly design.  The firm was founded in 2006 by Principal, Christopher Briley, who practices what he has termed ‘architecture for life.’  The firm has completed several LEED certified residences and currently is working on a Passivhaus, Net Zero home and sustainable Veterinary Clinic.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
“Architecture For Life” is enduring architecture that is timeless, beautiful, and long-lasting. It is architecture that focuses on the experiences of the building’s occupants, enhancing their daily lives with natural daylight, excellent ventilation, and delightful spaces that engage their artful minds. It is architecture that is mindful of our finite resources and respectful of the natural environment. It is also architecture that will stand the test of time by being very durable, simple and economical to operate and maintain, and be beautiful possessing an integrity that the passage of time will venerate.

We are not “granola fascists” and will not pressure our clients into technologies, products, or systems that they are not ready for or do not find aesthetically pleasing. Our Job is to present our clients with green options that make sense to us, and work with our clients to see if it makes sense to them.
